| BIOGRAPHY - ERIC R. LARSON |
| Eric R. Larson has a passion for mass production. Trained as an aerospace engineer, he realized his true calling was in product design after reading a biography of Raymond Loewy. Inspired by that book - and by Victor Papanek's classic text Design for the Real World - he has focused his career on the technologies of mass production. He spent his early career helping companies develop low-cost products for consumer use, and then worked for DuPont Engineering Plastics as an application engineer, helping their customers with the commercial application of new plastic technologies. He has augmented his technical training with extensive studies in art, inter-personal relationships, and the psychology of creativity. In 1996 he started his own consulting practice specializing in the technologies of mass production. He works for a diverse number of clients ranging from early stage start-up companies to Fortune 500 corporations, and excels at leading teams in the Art of Mass Production. |
